Snow Day

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... We had a wonderful time playing in the snow, although I couldn't get my kids to help me build a snowman. It's pretty sad when you resort to the 8 year-old neighbor kid to help you build one. By the way, have you ever seen a snowman with ears? Well, now ya have! The helper insisted that it have ears & since he was helping me, I decided that I could at least let it have the ears. Cute, huh?

The kids & I had a lot of fun, especially when Kevin came out & was working thawing out vehicles...LOL, the sneaky, snowball attack was on! Sorry, no pictures were taken during the war, mainly because I was trying to refrain from being hit by everyone. However, there are various pictures of Jordan & Alyssa doing what they do best.

The puppies were not very happy when they were brought out in the cold, "white" grass. Things were just not the same.

By the time our weekend was up, I felt I had been blessed. No, I change that remark. I AM BLESSED! Our life may be simple, but we LOVE it!

This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

The title of this post really says it all for us. We may be stuck indoors due to weather, but we have each other & we have love, but most of all we have the Lord. In saying this, I decided what better day to start our family blog. The smell of breakfast still lingers in the air, the sound of the washer & dryer are faint, but the most wonderful part is the sounds of our family together.

As I look around in the house, I see Jordan and Alyssa playing the Wii together and Kevin is sitting on the couch reading The Bible Handbook with a precious French bulldog snuggled up to him in an electric throw (yes, I said the puppy was in the electric throw). Pitiful, I know. Kevin has often mentioned how he wonders if this puppy is dog or human. Either way, we are happy.
